Ding faced Caleb Phillips and Caroline Coughlin on April 20. Phillips is an account manager from Austin, Texas.

Coughlin is an economic researcher from Somerville, Massachusetts. The three battled through a tight Double Jeopardy round.

Ding missed the final Double Jeopardy question. He answered the last clue before Final Jeopardy correctly to keep the lead.
