Teen Hospitalized After Injury at County Durham Construction Site

A 17-year-old boy is in hospital after sustaining serious head and neck injuries at a housing development in County Durham. The incident happened on Thursday lunchtime, when a concrete pipe toppled onto the young worker.

Emergency services were called to Sniperley Farm Road in Durham at 12.49pm on 16 April. The casualty was given first aid at the scene before being moved for further treatment.

The injury occurred on a construction site at the Sniperley housing development. Colleagues and on-site staff reported the accident to authorities immediately.

North East Ambulance Service dispatched multiple clinicians to the scene. A specialist paramedic and senior clinical staff attended alongside ambulance crews.
