Texans Secure $150M Extension with DE Will Anderson Jr.
The Houston Texans have finalized a three-year, $150 million extension. The agreement centers on DE Will Anderson Jr., NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported. Filmogaz.com confirmed the details Friday.
Contract specifics
The deal carries $134 million in guarantees. It also features a non-trade clause. The contract places Anderson among the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in NFL history.
2025 season and recognition
Anderson earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2025. He produced a career-best 12 sacks that season. His other numbers included three forced fumbles and 54 tackles.
- 20 tackles for loss
- 23 quarterback hits
- 85 QB pressures, second-most in the league per Next Gen Stats
Pairing with Danielle Hunter
Anderson and Danielle Hunter formed a dominant pass-rushing duo in 2025. They were the only teammates to both finish inside the league’s top 10 in sacks that year. Hunter signed a one-year, $40.1 million extension on March 5.
Front-office priorities
Securing Anderson was a stated offseason priority, according to earlier reports on Feb. 26. The new extension follows the club’s move to retain Hunter. Together, the pair anchor Houston’s pass rush moving forward.
