O’Hare International experienced a ground stop until 6:45 a.m. due to thunderstorms. After the restriction lifted, departures bound for O’Hare faced average delays near 82 minutes.

Midway Airport was placed on a ground stop from 6:40 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in response to the same weather. In the last 24 hours, nine flights were canceled at O’Hare. No cancellations were reported at Midway.
