Court Charges Man for Indecent Exposure on Popular Family Footpaths
Suraj Ragini, 31, has been charged with multiple counts of indecent exposure. He is from Harmer Road in Norwich.
The alleged events took place between January and May 2025. The incidents were reported in Wymondham and Norwich.
Court appearance
Ragini attended Norwich Magistrates’ Court and confirmed only his name, age and address. The court has registered charges against the man accused of indecent exposure.
The charges were not formally put to him at that hearing. District Judge Matthew Bone adjourned the case until May 19 to allow time for new evidence and legal advice.
Arrests and evidence
Police arrested Ragini on June 9 last year on suspicion of four exposure incidents in Wymondham. He was arrested again on July 31 over further alleged incidents in Norwich.
Officers say new material includes geo-location data from his phone. Ragini intended to dispute the allegations, citing mistaken identity.
Locations and public impact
The reports name Sweet Briar Marshes in Norwich and the Tiffey Valley Trail at Wymondham. Both sites are popular family footpaths and attract walkers and cyclists.
Sweet Briar Marshes is a wetland with footpaths and cycleways off Marriott’s Way. The Tiffey Valley Trail runs along the River Tiffey toward Kimberley Hall.
Bail and restrictions
Ragini was granted bail with specific exclusion zones. He must not enter Wymondham, Sweet Briar Marshes or Marriott’s Way.
He was also ordered to surrender his passport. This prevents him from leaving the UK before the next hearing.
