Scottie Scheffler Enters $100M Club, Donates Ryder Cup Earnings
Scottie Scheffler, 29, has reached a new financial and philanthropic milestone in his career. He entered the $100 million club after winning at the American Express in January 2026. He also donated his entire Ryder Cup stipend to groups in his hometown of Dallas.
Career milestones
Scheffler now has 20 PGA Tour victories in 151 starts. That winning pace has been matched only by Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus. He is a four-time major champion and an Olympic gold medalist.
He has also been named PGA Tour Player of the Year four times. Those honors underline his rapid rise in men’s golf.
$100 million milestone
The check that pushed his career earnings past $100 million was worth $1.6 million. It came from the American Express tournament in January 2026. Scheffler joins Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy as the only three players to clear that threshold on Tour.
All three players are former Masters champions, adding context to the achievement. Scheffler reached the mark at age 29.
Charitable giving and Ryder Cup donation
In September 2025, Scheffler donated his full $500,000 Ryder Cup stipend. The money went to local organizations in Dallas. He said he prefers to keep charity out of the spotlight.
Team-mate Xander Schauffele expressed similar sentiments about pride and giving. Schauffele said donating the stipend made him feel personally satisfied.
Legacy and outlook
Scheffler will aim to add more major titles and PGA Tour wins. Continued success would further cement his place among the game’s greats. His combination of elite play and quiet philanthropy draws attention beyond golf.
