Top Amateurs Ranked in 2026 Masters Field

Amateurs remain a threaded tradition at Augusta National each spring. They attend the Amateur Dinner with chairman Fred Ridley and often stay in the Crow’s Nest. The Silver Cup is awarded to the low amateur, who must make the cut to claim it.

There are six amateurs in this year’s field. Filmogaz.com ranks the top amateurs in the 2026 Masters field below.

The six amateurs to watch

Brandon Holtz

Brandon Holtz is the U.S. Mid-Amateur champion and is 39 years old. He is more than twice the age of the field’s two youngest competitors and arrives with extra rust.

Mateo Pulcini

Mateo Pulcini earned his spot by winning the Latin America Amateur Championship. He has not played competitively since that victory and could show signs of rust.

Jackson Herrington

Jackson Herrington, nicknamed “The Fridge,” posted two top-10 finishes for Tennessee this season. He also had four results outside the top 25 and practiced with Bryson DeChambeau.

Mason Howell

Mason Howell is the U.S. Amateur champion. He grew up admiring Rory McIlroy and will play alongside McIlroy the first two rounds.

Fifa Laopakdee

Fifa Laopakdee is an Arizona State junior and the Asia-Pacific Amateur champion. He recorded one win this spring and two additional top-10 finishes, becoming the first Thai amateur at the Masters.

Ethan Fang

Ethan Fang is the British Amateur champion. He finished tied for third in a collegiate event at Augusta and has been playing his best golf recently.

Only one amateur can finish as low amateur at the end of the week. Watching these top amateurs will highlight the emerging talent in the 2026 Masters field.
