Canadian Tire Unveils Debut Collection of Hudson’s Bay Striped Products

Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd. has launched its inaugural collection featuring iconic Hudson’s Bay stripes, marking a significant step in blending their brand with traditional Canadian designs.

Summer Collection Overview

On April 8, 2026, Canadian Tire unveiled a summer collection that includes 32 items adorned with the iconic Hudson’s Bay stripes. The product range consists of various outdoor and home essentials.

  • Canoes
  • Outdoor furniture
  • Pickleball sets
  • Towels
  • Point blankets
  • Canvas bags
  • Beach chairs
  • Cornhole games
  • Kitchenware (mugs, oven mitts, aprons, pot holders)

Significance of the Collection

This collection represents the first instance of Canadian Tire integrating its design into the Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) trademarks, which it acquired for $30 million last year. While the previous holiday collection featured only past HBC designs, this new line aims to resonate with Canadian lifestyles during the summer months.

Eva Salem, Canadian Tire’s Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Brand, stated that the reaction to their holiday collection surpassed expectations. She emphasized that this summer collection builds on that momentum, delivering products tailored for outdoor enjoyment.

Notable Products and Pricing

The new product lineup includes several Canadian-made items, such as:

  • Cedar canoes priced at $10,000 for a 16-foot version and $6,000 for a 9-foot version
  • Point blankets available in four sizes, ranging from $350 for a twin to $530 for a king
  • Outdoor cushions priced at approximately $30
  • Mugs available for $8

All products will be available starting May 1 at Canadian Tire stores and online. For the first time, select items will also be accessible through Mark’s, an apparel retailer owned by Canadian Tire.

Background on Hudson’s Bay Acquisition

Canadian Tire acquired the Hudson’s Bay trademarks last summer after HBC filed for creditor protection and subsequently closed its stores. This strategic move showcases Canadian Tire’s commitment to revitalizing and modernizing beloved Canadian brands.

With this collection, Canadian Tire aims to deliver quality and uniquely Canadian products that reflect the spirit of summer living.
