Major Convenience Chain Expands with 100 New Indiana Locations

Sheetz, the family-owned convenience chain headquartered in Altoona, Pennsylvania, announced plans to enter Indiana. The company will add 100 new locations across the state over the next ten years.

Expansion plan and timeline

The first Indiana stores are slated to open in the Indianapolis area in 2027. The company said specific sites and dates will be released later.

The project represents about $1 billion in investment. It is expected to create more than 3,000 long-term jobs for Hoosiers.

Operations and customer experience

Sheetz operates 24/7 stores with made-to-order food and seating indoors and outdoors. Locations offer fuel, grocery and convenience items, plus free wi-fi and restrooms.

The chain has a strong following, often drawing crowds for new store openings. A Chillicothe grand opening took place on Feb. 17, 2026.

Regional support and logistics

To support growth, Sheetz plans a new food preparation and distribution center in Findlay, Ohio. That facility is scheduled to open in 2026.

Today, Sheetz runs more than 830 locations in Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia.

Community contributions

As part of the Indiana announcement, the company donated $25,000 to Special Olympics Indiana. Company leadership highlighted strong interest from state residents.

What comes next

Officials issued the company statement on April 8, 2026. Filmogaz.com will publish updates when specific Indiana locations are announced.
