Janel Grant Reveals New Allegations Against Vince McMahon, Brock Lesnar, WWE
A newly filed affidavit from Janel Grant presents a detailed first-person account of alleged misconduct inside WWE. The 40-page sworn statement expands on a lawsuit she filed in 2024. Grant says the events took place during her employment from 2019 through 2022.
Key claims in the affidavit
Grant says she joined WWE’s legal department in 2019 after meeting Vince McMahon. She alleges initial sexual contact occurred soon after they met while he lived in the same condominium. She reports losing memory of portions of a May 11, 2019, meeting after an encounter she describes as non-consensual.
The filing accuses McMahon of repeated sexual and emotional abuse. Grant recounts forced sexual encounters and extreme humiliation spanning the COVID-19 era. She says working from home in the same building left her unable to avoid him.
Incidents involving others at WWE
Grant alleges multiple incidents involving John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis was once a co-defendant. He was later removed after agreeing to cooperate and provide evidence.
She claims she was compelled to attend Laurinaitis’s hotel on numerous occasions. The affidavit says those trips included being instructed to “serve” him. Grant also describes being assaulted in June 2021, and again the following month.
Allegations connected to Brock Lesnar
The affidavit describes interactions tied to Brock Lesnar that Grant says were orchestrated by McMahon. She alleges McMahon tried to set up sexual encounters with Lesnar while Lesnar renegotiated a contract in July 2021. Many planned meetings did not occur for various reasons.
Grant says Lesnar later texted her using an alias and requested explicit photos. She claims she was told she would be expected to travel to perform sexual acts for him. She also says Lesnar was aware of her role at WWE and reacted angrily when she mentioned Talent Relations.
NDA, arbitration and her exit
Grant contends she was pressured into signing a non-disclosure agreement during exit negotiations. She says the NDA contained an arbitration clause she does not remember reviewing. WWE is now seeking to move parts of the dispute to arbitration.
The affidavit recounts intense stress and suicidal thoughts during the exit process. Grant says she resigned on February 10, 2022, and had a final day set for March 4. She alleges continued contact from Lesnar until March 27, 2022.
Claims about company leadership
Grant names Nick Khan and other executives in her account. She alleges McMahon told her that Khan knew of their relationship after Khan became president in August 2020. Grant says WWE leadership discussed reassigning her and potentially helping place her at outside media companies.
Responses and next steps
McMahon has denied the allegations since the initial 2024 lawsuit. Representatives for WWE, TKO, McMahon, Laurinaitis, and Lesnar did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Filmogaz.com asked for official statements after the affidavit was filed.
Grant filed the affidavit to argue her case should remain in court rather than be forced into arbitration. Her sworn declaration adds detail to the claims she first made in 2024.
