Janel Grant Claims Vince McMahon Informed Nick Khan, Brad Blum of Relationship
Janel Grant filed new court papers in her lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon. She filed a memorandum Wednesday opposing motions to compel arbitration and move the case out of court.
Her attorneys argue the nondisclosure agreement is unenforceable. They contend the NDA should not force private arbitration instead of public litigation.
Allegations in the April 1 declaration
Grant submitted a declaration dated April 1 containing details of conversations with McMahon. Paragraph 41 alleges McMahon told her he informed WWE executives in March 2021.
The filing says McMahon told Nick Khan and Brad Blum about the sexual nature of their relationship. Grant claims executives expressed concern and questioned her trustworthiness.
What Grant says McMahon told her
According to the declaration, McMahon assured executives of Grant’s loyalty and character. He said those assurances led Khan and Blum to be supportive, per Grant’s account.
Allegations about the general counsel
Grant’s papers also address the departure of former general counsel Brian Nurse. In paragraph 43, she alleges leadership viewed her as a corporate liability.
The declaration claims Nurse suspected or knew of the relationship. Grant says Nurse raised the issue in a meeting and was later removed.
