Alex Horne has teased casting news for upcoming Taskmaster series. He confirmed an Oscar winner will appear in a future season.
Confirmed return and season 21 cast
Taskmaster returns on Thursday 9 April at 9pm on Channel 4. Season 21 will feature Kumail Nanjiani and Armando Iannucci.
Other confirmed contestants include Joanna Page, Amy Gledhill and Joel Dommett. Kumail Nanjiani starred in Silicon Valley and Eternals.
Armando Iannucci created The Thick of It and The Day Today. Viewers can expect the usual mix of games and surprises.

Horne spoke to Huw Fullerton for Radio Times. He said filming on season 22 had almost wrapped at that time.
He described a “real hero of his” joining season 22. He also teased an Oscar winner would appear in Taskmaster Season 23.

Horne singled out a standout moment involving Kumail Nanjiani. Nanjiani reportedly reveals surprising details about his hotel-room habits.
Horne said he sat next to Nanjiani during the moment. He called it a big, never-before-seen Taskmaster moment.
