NY Stalker Tracking Billie Eilish Killed by LIRR Train, Officials Confirm
Officials confirmed a New York man previously accused of stalking Billie Eilish was struck by an LIRR train. They said he was killed and that the death appeared accidental.
Incident details
Prenell Rousseau, 30, of Farmingville, was hit by the train in Westbury. The collision happened around 5:38 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities said he had been jogging on or near the tracks. About 100 passengers then boarded another LIRR train to finish their trips.
Stalking allegations and court action
Rousseau had been arrested in 2020 for repeatedly appearing at Billie Eilish’s Los Angeles home. Eilish testified during the court hearing that followed.
Court records show he visited the property seven times on May 4 and 5, 2020. He rang the doorbell and asked Eilish’s father whether she lived there.
The family told him he had the wrong house, but he returned the same evening. Private security was summoned, yet Rousseau remained on the porch.
Eilish said Rousseau sat and read a book while speaking intermittently. She and her family were frightened by his behavior during the pandemic.
Records note he appeared without a face mask in five visits and touched the doorknob and doorbell. Eilish obtained a three-year restraining order against him.
Rousseau’s social posts included an illustrated image of the singer. One message read: “Anyway — I love u b … that is all.”
Investigation status
Law enforcement sources described the death as accidental. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances at the scene.
