Topeka Farmers Market Returns Saturday with Exciting New Features

This weekend, the Topeka farmers market returns on Saturday, and organizers unveiled exciting new features. The long-running market reopens April 4 at 6th and Harrison in downtown Topeka.

When and where

The market opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at noon on April 4. It will run every Saturday through the final weekend in October 2026.

Vendors and offerings

Shoppers will find more than 30 returning vendors and about nine newcomers. Offerings include fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, handmade wooden boards, jewelry, T-shirts and other artisan items.

Activities for families

The season will begin with an Easter egg hunt for arriving children. A scavenger hunt follows, with kids earning small amounts of spending money as they locate items.

Market leadership and history

Richard Britt serves as market chairman and owns Britt’s Farm. He has participated in the market for more than 20 years and praises the community’s steady support.

Community impact

The open-air market has been a Topeka tradition since the 1930s. It draws thousands of local residents and out-of-town visitors every season.

Organizers say they will continue adding new elements each year. They hope to keep the market fresh while supporting local vendors and shoppers.
