‘Supergirl Teaser Reveals David Corenswet’s Superman Cameo’

DC Studios has shared a new Supergirl teaser that includes a brief appearance by David Corenswet as Superman. The short preview centers on Krypto exploring a messy room strewn with bottles, clothes, and trash. Fans hear Corenswet’s voice as Clark Kent in a recorded message to his cousin.

Teaser details

The audio features Clark checking in on Supergirl in a casual, concerned tone. The clip shows him speaking through a screen before the camera cuts away. The sequence then shifts to Supergirl’s suit on display and a shot of her holding an iPod while turning up music.

The new footage confirms David Corenswet’s Superman cameo in the film universe. The brief appearance adds connective tissue to the DC line. It also teases relationships between the characters.

Trailer and release timeline

DC Studios plans to release the full Supergirl trailer on March 30. A Super Bowl trailer arrived last month to introduce key elements. The feature film is scheduled to open in theaters on June 26.

Cast and creative team

The movie stars Milly Alcock as Supergirl. Co-stars include Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll. The cast also features David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and Jason Momoa as Lobo.

Source material

The film adapts Tom King’s 2022 comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Bilquis Evely provided the illustrations for the comic. Ana Nogueira handled the screenplay adaptation for the screen.

In the source story, Supergirl joins a young alien named Ruthye Marye Knoll. They travel across the galaxy to pursue Krem of the Yellow Hill. Their mission follows Krem’s killing of Knoll’s father in the comic.
