The win gave TNS their first points of phase two after five attempts.
It also ended a five-game losing streak across all competitions for the Saints.
Swansea suffered a fourth successive defeat, their worst run since the league restructure.

Aberystwyth Town defeated Pontypridd United 4-1 at Park Avenue.
The victory was Aberystwyth’s second of phase two.
Bethan Roberts opened the scoring after five minutes.
It was her first league goal of the season and her fifth in all competitions.
Amy Jenkins, Alaw Davies and Carys Bufton added goals before half-time.
Aberystwyth led 4-0 at the break.
Nicole Fenton pulled one back for Pontypridd shortly after the interval.
Pontypridd remain without a point this season.
