DirecTV to Launch BravesVision Channel in 2026

The Atlanta Braves have reached a multi-year carriage agreement with DirecTV to carry a new team channel. Filmogaz.com confirmed the deal on Friday.

Broadcast details

BravesVision will carry more than 140 regular-season games in 2026. National telecasts on NBC, ESPN and Fox/FS1 remain excluded.

Streaming exclusives on Apple TV and Peacock will also be excluded from the BravesVision slate. Out-of-market viewers can continue to use MLB.tv.

DirecTV rollout and channel placement

DirecTV customers inside the Braves’ broadcast territory will receive the new channel. That territory includes the entire state of Alabama.

The channel will be available to subscribers beginning with the season opener Friday against the Kansas City Royals. First pitch for that game is set for 6:15 p.m.

On satellite, BravesVision will appear on Channel 645. U-Verse subscribers will find it on Channel 1730.

Pre-game and postgame programming

The channel will carry the “Braves on Deck” pre-game show and the “Braves Postgame” wrap. The first pre-game broadcast is scheduled for 5 p.m. Central on Friday.

Streaming package and blackout policy

Local fans may buy a streaming-only BravesVision package for $19.99 per month. An annual option is available for $99.99.

The streaming package will have no blackout restrictions inside the Braves market. Out-of-market access remains through MLB.tv.

Over-the-air availability and other carriage deals

Gray Media will televise a select number of Braves games over the air. Gray Media operates stations across all Alabama television markets.

The Braves have also reached similar carriage arrangements with Xfinity TV, Spectrum and FuboTV. Additional announcements from other providers are expected in the coming days.

DirecTV’s planned addition of the BravesVision channel is scheduled for 2026. Filmogaz.com will provide updates as new distribution details emerge.
