Key Players Absent in Warriors vs. Wizards Matchup

Golden State hosts Washington tonight, 11 days after beating the Wizards in D.C. A win would give the Warriors their first three-game streak since mid-January.

Injury report

Both teams enter the game with significant absences. Key players absent include Steph Curry, Seth Curry, Moses Moody, Anthony Davis and Trae Young.

Warriors absences

Steph Curry — right patellofemoral pain syndrome. He will be re-evaluated next week. Only eight regular-season games remain after tonight.
Jimmy Butler III — right ACL surgery. No updates were provided. He is expected to miss roughly the next half year.
Moses Moody — left patellar tendon rupture. He underwent season-ending surgery today. A return is likely in the second half of next season.
Al Horford — right soleus strain. This marks his eighth straight absence. Questions now include whether he returns for a 20th NBA season.
Quinten Post — right foot injury management. The team will be without two of its three centers once again.
De’Anthony Melton — left knee injury management. He had been a revelation with Curry sidelined. He will not play tonight.
Seth Curry — left adductor strain. He has appeared in only four games this season.

Wizards absences

Anthony Davis — left finger sprain. The 10-time All-Star has yet to make his Wizards debut.
Trae Young — low back pain and right quad contusion. He has played five games for his new team.
Kyshawn George — left elbow sprain. He averaged 14.8 points and 38.1 percent from three. He has been out nearly a month.
Cam Whitmore — right shoulder deep vein thrombosis. He has appeared in 21 games this season. He is averaging a career-low 9.2 points per game.
D’Angelo Russell — not with the team. He joined Washington in the Davis trade. He has not played for them yet.
