Genshin Impact 6.5 Unveils: Release Date, Livestream Codes, Linnea, Banners, Story Updates

HoYoverse has revealed the full slate for Version 6.5. The update arrives across all platforms on April 8.

Release schedule and livestream

The developer confirmed the patch during its official livestream. The date is now final unless extraordinary delays occur.

Version 6.5 launches on April 8 for PC, consoles, and mobile. Players can expect immediate access to new content that day.

HoYoverse issued three redemption codes during the broadcast. Each code grants 100 Primogems plus supplementary resources.

Redeemments must occur before March 30 at 3:00 a.m. ET. Claim rewards from the in-game mailbox after redemption.

Use the in-game Redemption Code feature in Account settings, or redeem on the official website. Players can collect up to 300 free Primogems.

Linnea debuts as a five-star Geo bow wielder. She specializes in Lunar-Crystallize reactions.

Her kit boosts Lunar-Crystallize power and deals off-field Lunar-Crystallize damage. Her Burst also provides healing that scales with DEF.

Linnea lowers enemy Geo RES and raises her team’s Elemental Mastery. She pairs well with Zibai, Columbina, and Navia.

Banner phases are split into two limited-time runs. Phase 1 features Linnea and a Chasca rerun.

Phase 2 will rerun Lauma and Nefer. A Chronicled Wish banner spotlights Fontaine characters.

Version 6.5 adds World Quests but no new Archon Quests. New map areas expand Nod-Krai.

Dornman Port appears at Mondstadt’s edge. The Temple of Space of Asmoday will also be accessible.

Exploration will offer rewards and a new boss encounter. A dedicated Linnea Story Quest will reveal her background.

Limited-time events will provide additional activities and Primogem rewards for players to earn.

Version 6.4 is wrapping up after Mondstadt-focused events. That patch introduced playable Varka and the Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind event.

The broader Nod-Krai arc reached a major moment in 6.3. Players are still progressing toward the Snezhnaya storyline.
