David Fynn Joins West End’s Beetlejuice The Musical as Star
Casting for the West End premiere of Beetlejuice has been confirmed. Olivier Award nominee David Fynn will lead the company in the title role.
Run and venue
The production opens at the Prince Edward Theatre on 20 May 2026. It will play a limited season through 17 April 2027.

Fynn is best known for his West End turn as Dewey Finn in School of Rock. His casting continues a recent trend of leading men moving between those two roles.

Origins and recent history
The musical is adapted from Tim Burton’s 1988 film starring Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. The stage version first opened on Broadway in April 2019 at the Winter Garden Theatre.
It recently returned to New York for a limited 13-week season. The West End run marks the show’s long-awaited London premiere.
