Seahawks Launch 2026 NFL Season in Seattle on September 9
The National Football League confirmed its 2026 regular-season kickoff will take place in Seattle on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Kickoff presented by YouTube TV is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET and will air on NBC and Peacock.

The game will feature the Super Bowl LX champion Seahawks. Seahawks will open their home slate in Seattle on Sept. 9.
Their Week 1 opponent will be announced when the full 2026 NFL schedule is released later this spring. Fans should expect the league to reveal the complete slate in the coming weeks.
Historic match in Melbourne
The San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams will play the first NFL regular-season game in Melbourne, Australia. That contest is set for Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Melbourne game is slated to begin at approximately 8:35 p.m. ET. It will mark a milestone for the league’s international expansion.
