A young woman remains critically ill after a violent attack on a roadside outside Birdhill village in County Tipperary. The incident happened on Saturday evening, 21 March 2026, at about 5.30pm. Witnesses and video shared online show multiple people involved in the assault.

The injured woman is Scarlett Faulkner. She is in her 20s and a mother of one. Faulkner is from a Traveller family based in Limerick city.
