Nebraska Baseball heads to Auburn for ‘SEC-type weekend’ series

Head coach Butch Thompson framed the series as a stiff test: “This is going to be a SEC-type weekend. It’s going to be a rehearsal, ” Thompson said. “This is going to be one good, solid baseball club that we’re going to have to face for a three-game series. ”
Auburn is also chasing its 11th straight regular season home series dating back to the last series at Plainsman Park in 2024, and the Tigers have won 15 of 18 regular season weekends dating back to late 2024, the second most winning weekends in the SEC during that span.
