The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested three individuals connected to two recent home invasions in St. John’s and Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador. The incidents occurred earlier this week, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
Details of the Home Invasions
Early Thursday morning, two men broke into a residence in the Southlands neighborhood of St. John’s. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this incident. Less than 24 hours later, on Friday before 5 a.m. NT, the same men, accompanied by two women, targeted a home in Paradise, further exacerbating concerns about safety in the area.
Shelter-in-Place Order
In light of the ongoing situation, the RNC issued a shelter-in-place order for parts of the Kenmount Terrace neighborhood on Friday afternoon. This order included:

- Cape Norman Street
- Orlando Place
- Henry Larsen Street
Law enforcement located three suspects within a home in Kenmount Terrace, taking them into custody without incident. The shelter-in-place order was officially lifted around 6:15 p.m. NT the same day.
Charges and Investigation
One man in custody is facing seven charges, including:
- Break and enter
- Assault with a weapon
- Robbery with violence
The second man faces four charges, which include:
- Break and enter
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Robbery with violence
Authorities indicated that both women will also face charges related to burglary and violent robbery. The RNC believes the home invasions were targeted, assuring the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
