Australians can now skip the Saturday morning Bunnings run — at least for now. Bunnings has officially expanded its partnership with Uber Eats Australia, promising on-demand delivery of more than 30,000 products direct to homes and worksites in under 60 minutes. The announcement, made February 22–23, 2026, marks one of the biggest non-grocery retail moves onto a food delivery platform in Australian history.

Bunnings Uber Eats Partnership: What's the Deal?

The Bunnings Uber Eats Australia rollout builds on a 2024 agreement between the two companies that introduced same-day parcel delivery from select metropolitan and regional stores. The new on-demand offering is a significant upgrade — narrowing the delivery window to just one hour and massively expanding the product range available through the app.

Products will be listed at in-store prices on the Uber Eats platform, meaning customers won't pay a premium on the items themselves. Standard service and delivery fees apply, though Uber One members receive $0 delivery on eligible Bunnings orders over a minimum spend threshold.

Rollout: 15 Locations First, Then Nationwide and New Zealand

The Bunnings Uber Eats Australia launch is staged. It begins with 15 locations across Australia following a successful pilot across five Melbourne stores in late January 2026, which drew strong demand from both retail and trade customers. A full national rollout across all Bunnings stores in Australia and New Zealand is planned for later in 2026.

Uber Eats' APAC regional general manager for retail, Lucas Groeneveld, highlighted a key competitive advantage — orders are fulfilled directly from nearby Bunnings stores through a network of more than 200,000 delivery partners, giving the service a speed edge over distribution-centre-based rivals.

Bunnings COO and Uber Eats Back the Expansion

Bunnings chief operating officer Ryan Baker said the expanded Bunnings Uber Eats partnership gives customers a new level of convenience without replacing the in-store experience.

"While many customers enjoy visiting our stores to browse and get advice in person, we know there are times when convenience and speed are the priority. This partnership complements our existing delivery options and helps us better understand how customers want to shop with Bunnings," Baker said.

Bunnings Follows Officeworks onto Uber Eats

Bunnings is not the first Wesfarmers-owned retailer to join the Uber Eats platform. Fellow Wesfarmers brand Officeworks made its app debut in December 2025, signalling a broader group-level strategy around on-demand retail delivery. The Bunnings Uber Eats Australia launch now represents one of the largest non-food presences on the platform to date, and industry watchers expect other major hardware and homewares retailers to respond with competing delivery offers throughout 2026.
