Republic Day Celebrations

The Republic Day celebrations commenced at 9:30 AM and were broadcast across various platforms, including state-run DoorDarshan and Akashwani. Prime Minister Narendra Modi began the day with a visit to the National War Memorial for solemn tributes, followed by attendance at the parade at Kartavya Path. Modi extended warm wishes to citizens, expressing a desire for India to achieve its “Viksit Bharat” vision.

The 2026 Parade Theme

This year’s Republic Day parade showcased the theme ‘150 years of Vande Mataram.’ Celebrating cultural diversity, military might, and technological advancements, it featured:
