Super Mario Bros. fans have exciting news: Yoshi is making his big-screen debut. Illumination and Nintendo have announced that “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” will hit theaters in the United States on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. This date is moved up from the original release set for April 3.

The film will see a release in Japan on April 24, 2026, with additional launches planned in various markets throughout the month of April.
