Falcons Appoint Tommy Rees as Offensive Coordinator

During the season, three different quarterbacks took the field. Joe Flacco began the season as the starter for the first four games. Following him, rookie Dillon Gabriel led the team for six games before Shedeur Sanders closed out the remaining seven games. Collectively, the quarterbacks passed for 2,807 yards and 16 touchdowns.

In the following 2024 season, offensive coordinator Tommy Rees implemented a more aggressive passing strategy. The Browns recorded the most pass attempts in the NFL, averaging 206.2 passing yards per game. They had an unsteady quarterback situation, starting four different players across 17 games.
- Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy emerged as the top receiver with 1,229 yards.

Tommy Rees: A Brief Background
This marked Tommy Rees’ second stint in the NFL. Previously, he served as an offensive assistant with the then-San Diego Chargers in 2016, helping the team achieve a top-10 scoring offense. Rees gained much of his experience at the collegiate level, most recently as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Alabama in 2023, leading them to an SEC championship and a College Football Playoff semifinal appearance.
