Daniel Minera, who oversees City Gospel Mission, reported an increase in demand for food and shelter. He noted that many individuals arrive seeking a warm place to stay and a meal. “We have a lot of folks who are just knocking on the door,” Minera stated, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

• City Gospel Mission accommodates 76 individuals, providing both shelter and meals.
• The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky has 68 beds, with additional seating available.

Minera emphasized the importance of preparation, ensuring that their kitchen is stocked with adequate supplies. This preparation is vital, given that many individuals may not have other options during the harsh weather.

Kim Webb from the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky mentioned that they started planning for the extreme weather last Thursday. “No one should be outside in this deadly weather,” Webb affirmed, as their facility manages to accommodate more guests despite being at full capacity.
