This celebration began with the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic, which featured a sold-out crowd of 36,153 at loanDepot park in Miami. This historic game was the first-ever outdoor hockey event in Florida and contributed to a total NHL outdoor game attendance of 2,276,221.

Rink Construction

For the Stadium Series, the NHL will construct a regulation-size rink inside a steel-framed, air-conditioned structure. This tent, measuring 34 feet high, 125 feet wide, and 240 feet long, will protect the rink from weather elements before the teams play outdoors in primetime. McGraw’s performance will take place on a stage situated next to the rink.

Expect more details regarding game presentation and entertainment plans to be revealed in the weeks leading up to the event. NHL Entertainment will be in charge of all in-game activities, led by Steve Mayer, NHL President of Events & Content, as the executive producer.
