FBC Melgar Seeks to Earn Fans’ Respect

This evening at 5:15 p.m., FBC Melgar faces Universitario at the Monumental Arequipa. Fans expect an intense match despite low ticket demand.

Organizers expect roughly 20,000 spectators for the clash. More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold.

Melgar has gone more than a month without a home victory. Since February 15 the team recorded two losses and a draw.

The side had an earlier relief win over Deportivo Moquegua. Subsequent setbacks came against Los Chankas and Cusco FC, and a bitter loss to Atlético Grau on matchday eight.

Coach Miguel Rondelli called for positional discipline and flexible roles. He said players must learn to face and resolve varied game situations.
