Nottinghamshire Police were called to a report of a suspicious package at Sunninghill Park on Sunninghill Drive in Clifton. The call came at 11:51am on Saturday 18 April.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit attended as a precaution. Officers established a cordon while work continued to make the scene safe.

A bomb disposal team responded to the incident in Clifton. The EOD team worked to render the item safe.

Police confirmed at 5pm that the device had been made safe and the cordon was stood down. Officers thanked residents for their patience during the operation.
