ITV Announces Grace Replacement Finale as Season 6 Concludes Tonight
ITV airs the concluding episode of Grace season six tonight at 8pm. The episode wraps a four-feature run that returned after a year away.
Cast and series status
John Simm stars as DS Roy Grace. Richie Campbell appears as DI Glenn Branson.
Zoe Tapper plays Cleo Morey. DC Vee Wilde is central to the finale. ITV has not yet confirmed a seventh series.
Scheduling and the replacement plan
ITV has named what will fill the Sunday night slot after Grace. The network schedules a rerun of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire with Jeremy Clarkson for Sunday, April 26, at 8pm.
Clarkson took over hosting duties in 2018. The specific episode set to air was first shown in 2021.
Weekend line-up beyond 8pm
Because each Grace instalment runs about two hours, additional programmes will follow. At 9pm on April 26, ITV will broadcast Graham Norton’s new show The Neighbourhood.
The Neighbourhood features neighbours and families competing for a £250,000 prize. The series debuts on Friday, April 24, with episodes two and three airing back-to-back over the weekend.
Producers expect the show to drop into a weekly slot, with episode four due on Friday, May 1.
Tonight’s finale — plot points
The finale finds Grace preparing to marry Cleo Morey. Events take a devastating turn shortly before the wedding.
The investigation centres on a fatal hit-and-run. A local hotelier is killed and left at the crash scene.
Grace confronts what may be his most complex case to date. Meanwhile, DC Vee Wilde meets her estranged father after many years away.
