Near-Record Heat and Wind Elevate Fire Risks This Weekend
A Fire Weather Watch has been extended through 9 p.m. Monday for much of northeast Florida. Dry air, critically low humidity and gusty northeast winds have raised wildfire concerns.

Conditions elevating risk
Relative humidity is critically low across much of the watch area. Northeast winds are forecast at 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts.

Rain chances stay low for the weekend. One model shows a slight chance of inland rain on Sunday and Wednesday.
