Top-Ranked Quarterback Sets Date for Commitment Announcement

Haven is ranked as the No. 1 quarterback and No. 2 overall prospect nationally for 2027. He stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 215 pounds. He plays at Dunham High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He earned Louisiana’s Gatorade and MaxPreps Player of the Year honors. Haven removed Auburn from his top schools. His final decision will come down to Georgia and Alabama.
Season statistics and records
Haven completed 240 of 332 passes for 3,931 yards. His completion rate was 72.3 percent and he threw 62 touchdowns.
He ran 127 times for 794 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. Combined, he set a state record with 73 total touchdowns in a single season.
Crystal balls and odds
Alabama appears to be the heavy favorite in public projections. 247Sports logged two crystal ball picks for him to join Alabama.
Rivals places his chances with the Crimson Tide at 97.5 percent. Those numbers point toward a strong likelihood he signs with Alabama.
Impact on Georgia’s roster
Georgia currently holds the No. 8 recruiting class nationally. The Bulldogs recently picked up five-star running back Kemon Spell, who decommitted from Penn State.
Coach Kirby Smart has no quarterback commitments in 2027. The current Georgia QB room includes Ryan Montgomery, Ryan Puglisi, Hezekiah Millender, and Bryson Beaver.
Gunner Stockton remains the starter until he declares for the NFL or exhausts eligibility. A commitment from Haven would immediately alter Georgia’s future plans.
Future reclassification and other options
Georgia does have a 2028 quarterback commit in five-star Jayden Wade. Wade could still reclassify to the 2027 class, changing the board.
