Badgers Strengthen Roster with Onuetu Signing

Filmogaz.com reports Wisconsin will add forward Victory Onuetu to its roster next season. The 6-foot-11 big man is from Alhaurin el Grande in Malaga, Spain. He is expected to arrive in Madison in June.

Player profile

Onuetu provides length and athleticism at the rim. Coach Greg Gard praised his rim protection, rebounding and lob ability.

He projects as a physical frontcourt piece who can alter shots and finish around the basket.

Hofstra season

Onuetu spent last season at Hofstra and played in all 35 games. He made 17 starts during the year.

Spanish and international background

Before moving to the United States, Onuetu played for CB Prat Juventud in Spain’s Segunda FEB. He averaged 10.9 points and 6.1 rebounds there.

He helped Spain win the FIBA Under-19 World Cup title. He also earned gold at the FIBA Under-18 European Championship and played at the FIBA Under-20 Championship.
