The 83rd Members’ Meeting returns to Goodwood on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The weekend combines demonstration runs, historic racing, and special tributes. Thirteen races are scheduled, including two new events.

Event highlights

The meeting recreates the 1976 season on Saturday and Sunday. Bikes and cars associated with Barry Sheene and James Hunt will be on track. Jenson Button will take part in a Brawn GP demonstration and in competitive races.

  • Protheroe Cup: 26 pre-1963 Jaguar E-types to celebrate the car’s 65th anniversary.
  • Phil Hill Cup: V8-powered field with Ford GT40s, Shelby Cobras and Chevrolet Corvettes.
  • Bruce McLaren Trophy: Can Am machinery, the fastest round of the weekend.
  • S.F. Edge Trophy: Includes the Fiat S76 ‘Beast of Turin’ with its 28.4-litre engine.
  • Varzi Trophy: 1920s Bugatti and Alfa Romeo racers.
  • Hailwood Trophy: Grand prix bikes from the 1970s and 1980s.

Notable entries and races

Jenson Button competes across demonstrations and races. He will drive in the Protheroe Cup and in the Phil Hill Cup. Emanuele Pirro is another former Formula 1 driver taking part.

The Protheroe Cup will field 26 Jaguar E-types. The entry marks the model’s 65th anniversary. The Phil Hill Cup showcases classic V8 machinery on Sunday.

Historic machinery and drivers

The weekend features saloon-racing legends. John Cleland, Matt Neal and Steve Soper will perform hot laps in evocative touring cars. The Gordon Spice Trophy runs touring cars over three litres this year as a single two-driver race.

Other heritage entries include 1964–1970 cars in the Derek Bell Cup. Can Am contenders appear in the Bruce McLaren Trophy. The Varzi Trophy brings 1920s Bugatti and Alfa Romeo racers to the circuit.
