Netflix has acquired exclusive global streaming rights for the first two seasons of the coming-of-age comedy created by James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti. The deal was made with Sony Pictures Television and brings Season 2 to Netflix on May 11.

Distribution deal and streaming premiere

Sony Pictures Television licensed the series to Netflix for worldwide streaming. Paul Littmann, EVP of global distribution at Sony Pictures Television, praised the series’ authentic voice and emotional humor.

The move follows a broader, multiyear Global Pay-1 agreement between Netflix and Sony Pictures Entertainment. That pact gives Netflix exclusive global rights to Sony films after their theatrical and home entertainment windows.

About the series

The comedy centers on reunited former costars, friends, and lovers. Stephen Colletti plays Seth and James Lafferty portrays Jeremy.

Alexandra Park appears as Andrea and Cariba Heine plays Izzy. The show blends raw moments with sharp humor and heartfelt beats.

The series earned top honors at SeriesFest and the Mammoth Film Festival. Those prizes helped raise its profile ahead of the Netflix premiere.
