Fortnite v40.20 is scheduled for release on April 16, 2026. This marks the second major content drop of Chapter 7 Season 2.

Release timing and maintenance
Epic Games will take servers offline for maintenance ahead of the launch. The update will go live at 4:00 AM ET / 8:00 AM UTC.
Downtime is expected to last around two hours. During that window, Battle Royale, Zero Build, and Reload modes will be unavailable.
