Venue and Seattle history
The match returns the USWNT to Seattle for the first time in nearly nine years. Lumen Field will host the game on a newly installed grass pitch. The surface was relaid ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Organizers expect a record crowd for a standalone women’s match in Seattle. The previous record stood at 34,130. That crowd attended Megan Rapinoe’s farewell game.
The U.S. has played three matches at Lumen Field. The team drew Brazil 1-1 in October 2015. The U.S. opened the 2017 Tournament of Nations there, losing 1-0 to Australia.
Seattle has deep ties to USWNT history. The initial 1985 squad featured a Seattle-based coach. Several early players came from the region.
