Disney+ has ordered three further seasons of the FX documentary Welcome to Wrexham. The move was announced in a press release on Friday, April 10, 2026. The renewal brings the show to eight seasons and is expected to run through 2029.

This marks the first multi-season renewal for the series. Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds serve as executive producers. They praised the documentary team and said they were pleased to continue telling the club’s story.

The series first premiered in 2022. An eight-episode fifth season will begin on May 15, 2026. It documents Wrexham’s first Championship campaign in more than 40 years.
The new season also covers the club’s FA Cup run to the fifth round. Matches against Premier League teams Chelsea and Nottingham Forest are featured. Wrexham Women’s pursuit of their first Adran Premier title is included too.

At the time of the announcement, Phil Parkinson’s side sat seventh in the Championship. They were one place and two points outside the play-offs. The multi-season pickup raises the possibility of following the club into the Premier League.
