“‘Who’s the Boss?’ Star Drives for Amazon, Embraces Active Lifestyle”

Danny Pintauro has taken on package delivery work to supplement his acting income. He posted a photo Wednesday showing him with delivered boxes and noted he is staying active while work builds.

Early roles and credits

Pintauro first became known as Jonathan Bower on the sitcom Who’s the Boss?. The series starred Tony Danza, Judith Light, and Alyssa Milano, with Katherine Helmond as Mona.

He later appeared on Highway to Heaven and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. In 2020, he joined other former child stars for The Quarantine Bunch.

Education and financial reality

Pintauro graduated from Stanford University in 1998. He said residual checks from ’80s and ’90s sitcoms are smaller than many assume.

He added that residuals funded part of his education and early adulthood. He spent more than a decade away from show business after his signature series ended.

Return to acting amid a shrinking market

The Los Angeles production market showed signs of strain. January projections put film and TV production in L.A. down 16 percent in 2025, its lowest level since 2020.

Pintauro described reintroducing himself as an adult actor as an uphill climb. He lives in Los Angeles and is actively auditioning again.

Current projects and side work

The Who’s the Boss? star drives for Amazon Flex to help cover expenses. He reported delivering 38 packages on one recent shift.

He now teaches at Young Actors Theatre Camp and is building a coaching studio called The Resonant Actor. He also makes custom book nooks for clients.

Pintauro said he sees no shame in staying in motion while the industry recovers. He embraces an active lifestyle through work, teaching, and creative projects.
