Kai Trump made a public stop at the Masters Tournament this week. She shared photos from the event on Instagram, including one with Bryson DeChambeau.

Injury and return timeline

She is a senior at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Kai paused competitive golf after surgery on her left wrist in January.

Surgeons addressed injuries to the stabilizing tissues of her ECU tendon and damage to the fibrocartilage complex. She plans to start hitting balls again in May.

College plans and competitive resume

Kai will begin her freshman year at the University of Miami in August. She has stated ambitions to earn an LPGA Tour card in the future.

Last fall she made her LPGA debut at The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. She posted rounds of 83 and 75 in that event, surprising many observers.

A sportsbook had set her Round 1 over/under at 92.5, reflecting a limited junior record. During the Pelican event she carded four birdies on Friday.

One highlight was a near ace on the par-3 12th. Longtime family friend Allan Kournikova, brother of tennis player Anna Kournikova, was on the bag that week.

Family ties and public interest

Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump. The couple is divorced, and Kai is the granddaughter of former President Donald J. Trump.

Vanessa has been linked romantically to five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods. Woods had been pursuing a return to Augusta before a recent DUI arrest.
