In an exciting kickoff to their world tour, BTS launched the ARIRANG Tour on April 9 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. This high-energy performance marked the first of many shows in support of their latest album.

BTS’ Jin Reflects on the Tour’s Opening Night

After the concert, Jin shared his joy with fans on Weverse. He expressed how much he cherishes performing with his team and connecting with ARMY. “I had so much fun at Arirang Tour’s first concert,” he wrote. “I feel comfortable performing as a team and being in the same space with ARMY, so I feel like I’m back home.”

Jin also encouraged fans to meet again at the next concert, stating, “Let’s meet on Saturday and jump together! Get home safely and good night everyone.”

BTS will perform two additional shows at Goyang Stadium before heading to Tokyo. The ARIRANG Tour will continue until March of the following year, with stops in various global cities:

Album Success and Promotions

In March, the ARIRANG album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Since then, BTS has actively promoted the album, releasing music videos for its tracks “SWIM,” “2.0,” and “Hooligan.”

The band has also made appearances on numerous popular shows. They featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Wired’s auto-complete series, and Hot Ones. During their Hot Ones interview with Sean Evans, the members explained how they selected songs for the ARIRANG album.

Jung Kook mentioned that they listened to all 100 tracks together, discussing their thoughts as they went along. V added an interesting detail about using a point-scoring system during their selection process.
