2028 Los Angeles Olympics Ticket Sales Begin Thursday

The countdown to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics has begun, with ticket sales set to start soon. On Thursday, fans around the world will have their first chance to purchase tickets. This initial sale period will remain open until April 19. Following this, there will be additional opportunities to buy tickets leading up to the Games.

Ticket Sales Overview

The LA28 Olympic Committee has reported significant interest in ticket sales, especially among Southern Californians. During a recent pre-sale, hundreds of thousands were able to secure affordable tickets. Remarkably, initial sales for LA28 have surpassed those of any previous Olympic events in the first week.

Access Challenges

While interest remains high, fans have faced obstacles. Many reported sold-out events and some received “Access Denied” messages during the pre-sale. Despite the difficulties, LA28 is committed to ensuring ticket availability for everyone.

Available Ticket Pricing

  • Over 1 million tickets priced at $28.
  • Close to 50% of tickets under $200.
  • More than 75% of all Olympic tickets, including finals, priced below $400.
  • Only 5% of tickets will exceed $1,000, primarily for prime event seating.

Resale and Verification

Alongside the primary ticket sales, StubHub will also launch ticket listings starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday. However, LA28 officials want to clarify that any resale tickets purchased before 2027 should be approached with caution. StubHub is not recognized as a verified resale partner for the Olympics.

Only official ticket sales will be conducted through recognized partners, including AXS and Eventim. With high demand and limited availability, securing tickets for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics is expected to be a competitive experience akin to the Games themselves.
