Scottie Scheffler Honors Seve Ballesteros with Custom Shoes at 2026 Masters

At Augusta National on Monday, Scottie Scheffler arrived for a practice round wearing shoes that drew attention. The footwear featured a stacked Nike logo that echoed an old Masters moment.

Tribute on the course

Scheffler, the world No. 1, is a two-time Masters champion. His wife, Meredith, gave birth to their second child two weeks ago.

The shoes were clearly customized. The stacked Nike emblem mirrored the look tied to Seve Ballesteros decades ago.

The Ballesteros connection

Ballesteros became the first Spaniard to win the Masters in 1980 and repeated in 1983. He was represented by Nike but seldom wore hats.

In 1986, Ballesteros bought a Masters visor and wore it during early rounds. Heading into the final day he cut Nike logos from two shirts. He glued them over the Masters logo on the visor.

Ballesteros finished fourth that year. He ended two shots behind Jack Nicklaus, who won his sixth green jacket.

Practice-round company and form

Scheffler walked off the back nine alongside Sam Burns, Collin Morikawa and Cameron Young. The group drew interest on the course.

Scheffler has not played since a T-22 at The Players last month. Fans will watch how his tune-up affects his form for the 2026 Masters.

Broadcast note

The tournament will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Coverage details remain subject to schedule updates.
