Lakeside Shopping Centre Welcomes New Shops and Food Spots This Year
The retail scene at Lakeside Shopping Centre has seen a steady stream of openings this year. Shoppers have responded enthusiastically to the latest arrivals.
The White Company expands with large-format store
The White Company opened a full-line store occupying 5,900 sq ft. Queues formed at the launch as customers explored the homeware and clothing ranges.
The shop follows the brand’s neutral palette and minimalist interiors. This marks the retailer’s second Essex location, joining its Chelmsford outlet.
New food spots on The Boardwalk and in the mall
Maki & Ramen launched a new restaurant on The Boardwalk. The menu features ramen, sushi, donburi, and side dishes with richly flavoured broths.
The chain described the space as casual and Instagram-friendly. This latest UK opening adds diversity to Lakeside’s dining mix.
Chocofay opened a dessert kiosk in the food court. The brand specialises in chocolate-dipped strawberries and other quick grab-and-go treats.
Technology and fashion updates
EE opened an Experience Store in January that acts as a hands-on digital hub. The store includes interactive demo zones and smart home displays.
EE also runs community sessions, including “Stay Safe with AI” workshops focused on digital safety. The concept blends device sales with experiential elements.
New Look reopened after a major refurbishment. The relaunch featured goody bags, in-store prizes, and complimentary coffees for early visitors.
The refreshed store highlights new design features and spring collections. It also aims to boost engagement with the Club New Look loyalty programme.
