Virna Jandiroba Dominates Tabatha Ricci at UFC Vegas 115

Virna Jandiroba used superior grappling to defeat Tabatha Ricci by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 272. The bout took place Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

The win came in the event billed as part of UFC Vegas 115. Jandiroba improved her record to 23-4 overall and 9-4 in the UFC.

How the fight unfolded

Wrestling dictated the pace from the opening bell. Jandiroba secured early takedowns and controlled Ricci for much of the first two rounds.

She landed a hard shot in the second that visibly rocked Ricci. The third round saw Ricci searching for a big moment to shift momentum.

Jandiroba spent most of Round 3 on the feet before securing a decisive takedown in the final minute. The judges scored the contest 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 for Jandiroba.

Post-fight

Following the decision, Jandiroba called for another fight with Mackenzie Dern. She spoke directly during a post-fight interview conducted by Michael Bisping.

Ricci now falls to 12-4 overall and 7-4 under the UFC banner. Jandiroba indicated she wants a rematch after her performance.
