McInnes Updates on Injury Status Before Livingston Match
Derek McInnes has provided a clear injury update ahead of Sunday’s trip to Livingston. He confirmed a number of players are available. He also outlined several absentees.
Squad availability
Stephen Kingsley, Craig Halkett and Beni Baningime are back in contention. They missed the 1-0 win over Dundee before the international break.
Stuart Findlay is also pushing for selection. McInnes said Findlay has had a good week with the medical team.
Injuries and doubts
Tomas Magnusson will miss the trip with a thigh strain. He had trained and worn a protective mask but picked up the injury while shooting on Wednesday.
Harry Milne will not be available. McInnes judged the game comes too soon for him to return.
Fitness progress and squad depth
Beni Baningime completed a full week of training. McInnes welcomed his return after limited sessions in recent weeks.
Young Finlay Pollock has rejoined training. McInnes also mentioned Calem Nieuwenhof and Ageu among the available options.
Manager’s perspective
McInnes said the stop-start schedule has helped with player recovery. It allowed some squad members to rest and others to rebuild fitness.
He noted there are seven league games left. The aim is to enter the split in strong form with a high points tally.
Opposition and context
The Jambos travel to West Lothian on Sunday. Livingston have struggled for wins, but they have been competitive.
McInnes pointed out Livingston have drawn four of their last five matches. Those results include draws with Hibs and Rangers.
