Crimson Desert Patch 1.02.00 Boosts Storage and Customization Options
Pearl Abyss released patch 1.02.00 for Crimson Desert today. The update brings major changes to inventory, controls, and appearance options.
Crimson Desert Patch 1.02.00 Boosts Storage and Customization Options, while also delivering multiple gameplay fixes. The studio continues to react quickly to community feedback.
Private storage and camp expansion
Private storage capacity can now increase up to 1,000 slots. Expansion depends on progress through the Greymane camp upgrades.

The Greymane camp now progresses through five stages. Each stage unlocks additional storage capacity.
Appearance and customization
A new Headgear Visibility setting lets players control helmet display. Options include Always Show, Show in Combat, Hide in Cutscenes, and Always Hide.
Pearl Abyss also added one new cat armor set and a matching helmet. A feature to hide weapons on characters’ backs is planned soon.
Movement, controls and mounts
The patch adds a Movement Controls option. Players can choose Basic or Classic sprint behavior in the input settings.
- Basic: hold sprint to accelerate; stamina drains at intervals.
- Classic: tap sprint to accelerate; stamina drains per tap.
Mount stamina consumption was adjusted to match these options. The Abyss Nexus can now be used while moving slightly, except when mounted or in flight.
Combat, flight and Abyss changes
The Flight skill now activates when holding jump mid-air. Jump responsiveness after attacks was also improved.
Pearl Abyss fixed an issue where Focus was not canceled when using Aerial Roll during flight. Abyss Nexus locations were added or improved, including a new Nexus in Pailune.
Notable gameplay fixes
- Explosive barrels are easier to see with Light Reflection or a lantern.
- Fixed comrades not returning promptly after combat missions.
- Resolved Abyss puzzle state resetting when viewing node details.
- Fixed invisible character issue when obtaining Abyss Artifacts early.
- Corrected skill reset bug affecting two palm skills.
- Adjusted gimmick monster designs.
- Improved Abyss Skybridge Gates to allow teleportation to restored gates.
Quests, NPCs and UI
The update addressed several quest blockers. Chapter 6 and Chapter 11 progression bugs were fixed.
Other fixes stop quest progress from breaking when specific items are sold or lost. Certain quest NPCs that failed to appear now spawn correctly.
- Item use notifications now select items directly.
- Shop UI prioritizes sellable items for easier browsing.
- Save and Load menus are separated with slot number labels.
Graphics, platform and performance updates
PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox received rendering and upscaling improvements. FSR SDK 2.2 and FSR frame generation quality were applied on PC.
PlayStation 5 Pro gained upgraded PSSR sharpening and native AA in Quality Mode. Xbox Series X added a 4K upscaling option for Performance Mode.
Stability, localization and other fixes
- Several stability and crash issues were resolved on multiple platforms.
- Localization errors and in-game advice were corrected.
- Fixed missing walls in the Corridors of the Void and several audio problems.
